The New York Times (July 27/08)

Our tools for learning are changing. How will that change us?

Seattle Comedy Underground
April 2002

This piece, The Laundry Riot, was one of the first solid bits of comedy that i generated. This is the first time delivery of the piece.

AND it is my first 1000 viewed clip on YouTube!

Showcase Clips
January 2008 at the fabulous 142 Throckmorten Theater in Mill Valley, CA. Selections include:

The Elections (4:23)
Corporate Economy (2:55)
The Big Dog : Michael Vick (4:22)
Complete Set (19:44)

Say no more.

And my thought is: Only One?!

Always nice to check an international press (in this case, LeMonde) for some real news. "Armed with inaccessible goals, supplied with incoherent plans, constantly changing tactics, and with losses of life and resources that are constantly growing, they understand neither what they want nor how to obtain it.

In the post-Cold war era, many provisions of the 1991 START accord, which mandated deep nuclear weapons cuts, "are no longer necessary. We don't believe we're in a place where we need have to have the detailed lists (of weapons) and verification measures," added DeSutter, who handles arms control and verification issues.

Russia agrees the treaty should not be extended but wants it replaced with another legally binding treaty that makes further cuts in strategic forces, so the two sides have significant differences.

"You can see the public police becoming like the public health system," said Thomas M. Seamon, a former deputy police commissioner for Philadelphia who is president of Hallcrest Systems Inc., a leading security consultant. "It's basically, the government provides a certain base level. If you want more than that, you pay for it yourself."

Hey Earl, snoze you lose. What next, Pizza Hut to patent crap?

FINALLY...

"We do not respect your son. We do not respect what he's doing all over the world," a woman in the audience bluntly told Bush after his speech. Bush, 82, appeared stunned as others in the audience whooped and whistled in approval.

Bill by Sen Allen to allow concealed weapons in national parks.

Ha-ha! He-He! Aren't the stuff on my site knee-slappers!

We're not Kansas and we clap for fairies. So what? Big deal. Who cares?

In Germany, a new case charging outgoing Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld with war crimes for authorizing torture at Guantanamo Bay!

Only 97% of Born Again Christians believe in God! What tha?...A new Harris Poll finds that 42 percent of all U.S. adults say they are not "absolutely certain" there is a God, including 15 percent who are "somewhat certain," 11 percent who think there is probably no God and 16 percent who are not sure.

Bills says Ken Melhman and other top republicans are gay. But NOT in the rebroadcast

Nancy Pelosi breaks down what a hundred hours can cost

In 100 hours, the top CEOs will earn an average of $2 million each.
In 100 hours, a minimum wage worker working 8 hours a day will earn $171.67.

Entire episode on YouTube...Catch it before Google strangles it.

The FIX Is In!

The Fix Is In Remember the Clinton/Edwards nod and wink: “We’ve got to cut the number…” of candidates?

Next thing you know Clinton and Obama are going all WWF on us . Grabbing all the headlines. Degrading the american political dialog to now including "swift-boating" other entire countries! Just to do one thing: KEEP THE CAMERAS ON THEM! Yep, that's all. Raised tensions all around the world, just so Kucinich and Mike Gravel and Bill Richardson are muscled out by simply denying them face time on the TV. Most people ain't readin folks. Not even this! I know, I can't believe it either. So yes, this whole –– and still ongoing! –– political bikini mud-wrestling was orchestrated. Absoltely.  Obama sold his soul for a tasty cabinet position. He has defined himself as an aggressor and that will forever follow him.  For him to say something that seemed so out of character –– or, at least not in synch with a core value of many of his supporters. Much Surprise...to be kind. But then he said it again! And again! Stunning. So,  yea. He sold his candidacy and very local and proud supporters out for a seat at the table. Thanks for playing our little game...Suckers. Edwards is thinking he can take on Hillary. And getting rid of Kucinich –– the most intelligent and grounded candidate as you will ever find –– allows Edwards to inherit that stranded electorate. (Hint to Edwards: You'll have to EARN it, brother. )  And Edwards, no doubt,  should feel good about his chances against Obama. While Clinton, I am sure, is, without a doubt certain that Edwards is a small problem which is about to be taken care of. I mean, very soon! Any predictions? In the above article. Kucinich calls this out hard with his usual precise language and tight logic. For more insights into the Kucinich candidacy check out: Kucinich '08

The Dems are taking heat, although not nearly enough, for their incredible caving. I mean, c'mon. Diane Feinstein? James Webb? Jack Murtha?! But it's true. So many dems turned their back on the people. Here are two sides from two of the most passionate democratic voices:Jack Murhta: September Will Be the Key

Slate Mag and Media Curves provide this very cool (and potentially creepy forshadowing of our future process) video of Bush speaking with an overlay of the "agree/disagree" opinions of people as he speaks. Very Wild:

Racism and Comedy Wrap Up
January 24 High Contrast Comedy stage a wonderful evening on racism and comedy. This was an interactive evening where comics were performing racially charged material and it was to be discussed in an open forum. A wild night!
IT'S OUR COUNTRY! LET'S TAKE IT BACK!!!
Americans understand in their gut that the long-term consequences of disillusionment with democracy, here and abroad, would be disastrous. In the same way Congress repudiated an out-of-control president three decades ago, the House and Senate must show the world today that our celebrated system of checks and balances is not just a fanciful mirage.

Man, America had something on their mind last Tuesday. But remember...Noone in power should be spared investigative scrutiny, but today we can at least have hope that our democracy may have steered itself just shy of the cliff...once again.
